On 8 February, the New Hall School community came together for a deeply meaningful event: the Oliver Osgood Rugby Memorial Tournament. This is a cherished annual tradition in memory of Old Fish, Oliver Osgood.

It was lovely to welcome back Oliver’s mum, Veronica, along with many of Oliver’s close friends and their families. Their involvement brought warmth, reflection, and an unmistakable sense of togetherness to the day.  

This year, it was also wonderful to welcome so many schools to compete in the tournament, creating a competitive atmosphere throughout the day. At the end of the tournament, the Oliver Osgood Shield was awarded to the winning team: Bedford School.

The day was, in every sense, a wonderful tribute. We are grateful to everyone who attended, participated, or supported the event. Most of all, we remain honoured to keep Oliver’s memory alive through a tournament that reflects his passion for the game.
