New Hall School has a rich history, but what many might not know is the history of the site of Beaulieu Palace that was once owned by Henry VIII, nearly 500 years ago.
Starting in the new school year we plan to open a heritage room on site to showcase the history of New Hall, Beaulieu Palace and the persons involved in its development through the years.
We are currently in the process of redesigning the Benedict Parlour (the site for the heritage room) and making it fit for purpose. With the tireless efforts of Stella Beer, the school archivist, we have managed to acquire a number of files, artefacts, old uniforms and pictures that we wish to display for all to see.
If you would wish to help and allow some of your history to be shown, we will shortly be launching a donation drive, where if anyone has anything they wish to donate to the New Hall archive and have it displayed to help educate the staff, students and visitors, we would love to hear from you. Please bear with us whilst we finalise details and we will post more information soon.
