Former New Hall student Daniel Lewis, who left the School in 2022, has taken an exciting step forward in his motorsport career. After four years competing in junior racing formats, Daniel has now progressed into the prestigious Porsche Sprint Challenge Championship—a significant milestone for any aspiring professional driver.
The championship runs alongside the F4 British Championship and the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), placing Daniel in front of major audiences both trackside and at home. The last event at Donington Park on 27 April drew an impressive crowd of over 50,000 fans and reached a global audience of more than 2.5 million viewers via ITV’s coverage.
Daniel is competing in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, a high-performance race car boasting 500bhp and capable of reaching speeds of nearly 180mph. It’s a powerful machine that demands precision, skill, and nerves of steel—qualities Daniel continues to develop both on and off the track.
Alongside his racing career, Daniel is also studying for a degree in Motorsport Engineering, combining academic expertise with hands-on experience in the motorsport world.
We’re incredibly proud to see Daniel pursuing his passion at such a high level and look forward to following his progress in this exciting new chapter.
