Re: The ONE YEAR ON Informal Reunion; Thursday 7 July 2016
Greetings from New Hall School. I really hope that you are healthy, happy and well. How quickly time has flown by – it was only a year ago that you were facing the exciting prospect of A Level examinations and leaving school! Whether you are at university or have gone straight into work, I hope that you are progressing well along your chosen pathway. I am sure that you all have adventures of which to tell.
Something that we are looking to explore more effectively as a school is fostering greater links with our alumni and so I was wondering whether you would like to meet up with some old friends (fellow leavers from 2015) over an informal lunch on Thursday 7 July 2016, as well as share your experiences with current New Hall students (Year 12).
As part of our activity week this year we would like to offer Year 12 students the opportunity to speak to recent ex-students such as yourself, in an informal setting, so as to listen to your experiences about life after school. Many of you are currently studying at university and it is hoped that current Year 12 students will be inspired to make aspirational applications, and heed advice so as to follow in your footsteps (or do things differently, if you would advise so). For those of you who have opted for an alternative pathway, equally valid will be what you can share with our current students about the challenges you are embracing and the life you are leading. I really hope that you might like to share some of your life’s experiences with us, as well as reminisce about your time at New Hall.
Therefore I would like to extend this warm invitation to you (and any leavers from 2015) to attend our “
One Year On” event, and I propose the following:
12.30–1.00pm:
|
Arrival and pre-lunch refreshment in The Thomas More Sixth Form Centre (located in Walkfares) |
1.00–1.45pm |
Lunch in St Francis Hall |
2.00–2.30pm |
An informal Speed Mentoring Event – venue to be confirmed |
2.45–3.00pm |
Refreshments and farewell |
I really hope that you will be willing to join us for this occasion. Please would you complete the form below and respond by email or post by Wednesday 18 June 2016. Please do also spread the word – we’ve posted a message on our Alumni Facebook and Twitter pages.
Yours sincerely
Mr J Alderson
