New Hall were delighted to receive a visit from Lara-Jayne Ellice to the Art department on the 15th April. Lara was a student at New Hall until 2011 and has since graduated in BA Art History from the University of East Anglia with a first-class standing in her final dissertation upon Native American Art.
Lara has also recently gained a place on the full time MA course in the History of Art at the Courtauld Institute in London (one of the premier destinations for Art History in the UK and beyond). Lara’s MA specialism will be Art, Object, Sense: Crossings in the Anthropology and Art History - the case of Eighteenth-century France.
Our current Year 12 students enjoyed a compelling presentation from Lara that included information about the content of Art History courses at university, with her advice proving particularly useful for some of our students who are planning such a route after Sixth Form.
